With 40 years of professional experience in computing and networking, Mr. Cure’ excels as the owner and technical manager of his own network consulting firm—working with the top customers in the world, providing solutions to their network management needs, and troubleshooting and finding solutions. He previously established himself as a global network technical manager for the American Telephone and Telegraph Company, now known as AT&T Corporation, from 1997 to 2021—where he revamped the company’s corporate network to be more robust and resolved major issues, including engineering situations that needed to be fixed. He worked with the Network Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats, or SWOT, team, and would frequently be called upon to solve problems.
Mr. Cure’ joined the company following a 15-year career in the military as a contractor for computer systems across different military bases between 1982 and 1997. During this time, he had a top security pass and was capable of handling any technical task he was given. Over the course of his career in the field, he often worked for such companies as Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon, and has contributed to his local community in several capacities, including as a volunteer with local centers and even serving as a firefighter. Looking ahead, while he semi-retired in January 2022, Mr. Cure’ intends on continuing to provide network services through his firm—namely helping to rectify corporate and individual security issues and how transactions are completed between businesses.
Born and raised in New Mexico, Mr. Cure’ was heavily inspired by his grandfather, Fred Travis, a Mason from whom he learned the principles of sincerity, truth, honor, and always doing his best. Additionally, his father, Douglas, worked on molecular test projects and for top engineers, fueling his early interests in that kind of work. In the midst of his career in the military, he attained a degree in technology development from Coleman College in 1984 and subsequently earned a certification from the Dale Carnegie Salesmanship Program in 1989, became a Cisco certified network engineer in 2012, and completed the Juniper Networks Certification Program in 2017 as well as the John Maeda on Design, Business, and Inclusion seminar held by the LinkedIn Corporation in 2020.
Mr. Cure’ attributes his success to his ability to work through any solution day and night, a love for his work, and a passion for treating the customer right and getting them where they need to be.
